The Turkish papers are printing that Tarkan's 2007 contribution to pop music has been released in Turkey today, with Hürriyet paper supplement Kelebek also publishing the lyrics to Tarkan's locomotive track, "Vay Anam Vay". The song has begun to play on Turkish radio stations today, too.
Depending on distribution, hard copies of the album should be in shops by the end of the day, with stocks available nationwide by 27 December at the latest.
Meanwhile state broadcaster TRT has begun to publicise its end-of-year show with initial TV ads using the pop star's circulated image from the promotional album cover. The TV slots also confirm Ali Eyüboğlu's article that Turkish pop diva Sezen Aksu will not be taking part in the event.
It had been reported earlier that Aksu would be taking part in the show, but not alongside Tarkan.
Tarkan's Yuletide Metamorphosis
Giving the album Metamorfoz a 25 December release in 2007, marks a full fifteen years since Tarkan released his début musical offering on 24 December in 1992. Coinciding with the traditional day set aside for the birth of Christendom's leader, Tarkan Deluxe had reported the release as signalling the resurrection of Turkish pop's own saviour, too.
Reports indicate that demand for the album keeps on rising. Tarkan Deluxe is informed by fans all over Turkey and Cyprus that they are constantly asking music shops about the album's arrival, while many have already made pre-orders online, with Tarkan's 2007 album even entering the top ten sales of one shopping site.
