Tarkan Strikes the Right Notes on Twitter
While the Turkish press are still playing catch-up to report the buzz Tarkan's new song "Love's Last Strike" has generated, Twitter is still proving to the best source for news in real time (see left pic).
With reports coming in that streets of the entertainment hub of Istanbul, Taksim, are rocking to the tune of Tarkan's latest song everywhere in tweets, female music producer Sude Bilge Demir has jokingly tweeted with Tarkan's music producer Ozan Çolakoğlu that fans have stormed the shops mistakenly believing the artist's album to have been released on hearing the song on the radio.
Meanwhile, Turkish site Twhaber, following the popular tweeting trends, has posted an article that Tarkan has received full marks from the Turkish Twitter community, and has printed off a selection of public tweets praising Tarkan's teaser track from his 2010 album, set to be released in the first week of June.
Tarkan Deluxe correspondent Mark Mayhey has given the song his approval, too, and believes it to be a signal of greater things to come from Tarkan in 2010.
