Tarkan To Sing for Nature in September
In conjunction with nature society Doğa Derneği - which has also posted about the concert update on its official site - and the coastal town authorities at Seferihisar where the school is being built, all proceeds from Tarkan's benefit concert will go towards raising awareness on green issues through the education establishment described as being the "first of its kind in the world" by the music artist.
It was previously reported that the June concert had been rescheduled due to the Gezi Park protests to take place as part of a series of concerts the singer is preparing to give at the Harbiye amphitheatre in Istanbul in late August and early September. That series run has proved to be popular, with all four shows sold out weeks before the event dates.
Additionally, another rescheduled concert in the country's capital city of Ankara is set to take place towards the end of September. The most expensive seats have all sold out for the show, with limited seating and standing room available only for those still looking to purchase a ticket.
