  6. A landmark global summit is under way in London aiming to stem the tide of rape and sexual violence in conflict. Rape is used as a weapon of war, with many thousands of women sexually abused in conflict situations each year.
  7. England's Education Secretary Michael Gove has announced plans to promote "British values" in schools - including democracy, mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths. The proposal comes after the "Trojan Horse" scandal, in which a group of fundamentalist Muslims were alleged to be plotting to "takeover" some schools in Birmingham.
  8. The protest by traditional black cabs in major European cities against the new technology of a global rival cab service has been likened to the machine-breakers of the 19th Century who tried and failed to stop the spread of the power loom.
  9. There are software routines that can artificially create trends or boost follower numbers using fake identities.
  10. Global cybercriminals are making the internet more dangerous than ever for ordinary users.
