The Equator of the World

feel so small (at times)
enough to crawl
in a walnut shell
and hide
inside (creased lungs)
like breath
sometimes feel as high as sky
and wide enough
to open arms (and fly)
across the equator
of the world,

at times roll (yourself)
into the tiniest ball
and be a dot
that stops a sentence
like death
sometimes be a plot (of earth)
with enough sense
to know what grows
must be small
before it's (tall enough)
to stand at all.
