  1. An Iraqi court has sentenced at least 15 Turkish women to death by hanging, after they were found guilty of joining the Islamic State group (IS). Thousands of foreigners have fought and died for IS in Iraq and Syria.
  2. Women in Syria have been sexually exploited by men delivering aid on behalf of the UN and international charities, the BBC has learned. Aid workers said the men would trade food and lifts for sexual favours.
  3. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been criticised after telling a girl in military uniform that she would be honoured if killed while fighting. The speech has been described as "child abuse" and a glorification of death.
  4. A prominent Syrian-Kurdish leader was arrested in the Czech capital Prague on a warrant issued by Turkey over a February 2016 bombing in Ankara, which killed 37 people. Turkey views him as a terrorist and had offered $1 million (£715,000) for his arrest. He was quickly freed, however, prompting anger from Turkey.
  5. Turkish newspaper Genç Oluşumun Sesi is bringing news and providing employment to those whose lives are affected by disability, while eating a diet of vegetables, fruit and whole grains may be a simple way to combat depression, a new study suggests.
  6. The UK - the world's biggest importer of dried fruit - has been hit by a global shortage of raisins, sultanas and currants. A US shortage has increased demand for Turkey's sultanas and raisins.
  7. The Grand Master of the Orange Order, which refuses to admit gay people and is opposed to same-sex civil partnerships and marriages, walked his gay daughter down the aisle.
  8. Norway are officially powerhouses in the winter sports world, as they have surpassed the USA's record of most medals won at a single Winter Olympics.
  9. A zoo in the Georgian capital Tbilisi has given a lucky 10-year-old boy a free year-long pass, after he sneaked out of his house and travelled some 130km (80 miles) on a train on his own to see the animals.
  10. Chinese state media are using a video of a child urinating in a lift to reinforce better parental controls, while the term Winnie the Pooh has been blocked by online government censors as it's a nickname that social media users have coined for President Xi, which is often used derogatively.
