Rihanna says Snapchat shamed domestic violence victims/Getty
  1. Rihanna has accused Snapchat of "intentionally" shaming victims of domestic abuse. The singer was the subject of an advert on the platform which asked users if they would "rather slap Rihanna or punch Chris Brown" - in reference to Chris Brown's conviction for assaulting Rihanna in 2009 while they were dating.
  2. Migrants have clashed with Spanish police in Madrid after the death of a Senegalese street vendor who they say had been chased by officers.
  3. The murder of an Egyptian student in Nottingham has sparked outrage in her home country as racially motivated.
  4. Three activists with big social media followings from Austria, Canada and the US have been barred from entering the United Kingdom, in a move that some say is part of a crackdown on the far right.
  5. The leaders of France, Germany, the US and UK have issued a statement on the nerve agent attack in the UK, saying there is "no plausible alternative explanation" than Russian foul play. They condemned the "first offensive use of a nerve agent in Europe since the Second World War", calling it an assault on UK sovereignty.
  6. The US has imposed sanctions on 19 Russians, accusing them of interference in the 2016 US election and alleged cyber-attacks.
  7. Protesters have taken to disrupting public transport systems across England to draw attention to the Turkish offensive against Kurds in north Syria, while Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said the Turkish army and its Free Syrian Army allies could enter the town of Afrin "at any moment".
  8. As many as 50,000 people have fled separate offensives against rebel forces in northern and southern Syria in recent days, activists say. The mass movements come seven years into a war which has driven nearly 12 million people from their homes.
  9. A Turkish court has sentenced 25 journalists to jail for alleged links to a group the government blames for a failed coup attempt in July 2016, while another Turkish court has released on bail two journalists who were held for over a year on terror-related charges.
  10. A Turkish heiress bride-to-be and her UAE hen party were reportedly among 11 people killed when a jet came down on Sunday in Iran.
