Germany and Turkey mark Solingen deadly racist attack/EPA
  1. German Chancellor Angela Merkel has put aside recent diplomatic tensions with Turkey to mark the 25th anniversary of one of post-war Germany's worst hate crimes.
  2. ABC TV network has cancelled comedian Roseanne Barr's sitcom after she posted a racist tweet likening an African-American former Obama aide to an ape.
  3. Pusha T has released a new track taking aim at Drake while posting a photo appearing to show Drake in blackface. The photo was originally used as part of a promotion for a clothing line called Jim Crow Couture from Canadian fashion label Too Black Guys.
  4. YouTube says it has deleted more than half of the "violent" music videos that the UK's most senior police officer asked it to take down. Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick has blamed some videos for fuelling a surge in murders and violent crime in London - and singled out drill music.
  5. A game pitched as a "school shooting simulation" has been ditched from Steam's online store ahead of release.
  6. When a student researching in the archives of a London museum read the unpublished memoirs of a suffragette bomber, she began to wonder if the history of the movement had been sanitised. The suffragettes may have won the vote for women, but some of them, she argues, were terrorists.
  7. Benjamin Herman, the man who shot dead two police officers and a civilian in the Belgian city of Liège had killed someone the night before the attacks, the country's interior minister says.

  9. Financier Bill Browder, a high-profile critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has been briefly arrested in Spain on a Russian arrest warrant.
  10. A British man has died, apparently after a fall at a Turkish airport. Local news wires said the 30-year-old died after he fell, having been in the airport for three days after he was escorted off a plane for being a flight risk.
