Promotions of Tarkan's Art

Turkish newspaper Sabah reports on Tarkan's music projects that will be hitting the headlines this week.

In an effort to help promote digital music and support the Turkish music industry, the mobile phone will come loaded with 100 songs from 18 Turkish singers, including Tarkan. This domestic campaign has also been reported by the CNET Türkiye website.

CNET Networks, Inc. is a publicly-held US media company that deals with computers, technology and the Internet. They recently launched their Turkish arm,, which covers similar areas to, but specifically for Turkish consumers.

Tarkan in Germany

Meanwhile Sabah writes that Tarkan has travelled to Europe for the TrekStor project involving the unveiling of the "Tarkan player".

Tarkan is in Germany to appear at TrekStor's stand at the CeBIT fair in Hanover today (coinciding with International Women's Day). The artist is expected to make a personal appearance at the global expo for the unveiling between 15.00-17.00 (3-5 p.m.) German time.

Tarkan Remixed

Bosphorus Night 2Sabah reports that a second in the successful "Bosphorus Night" series has been released by DJ Suat Ateşdağlı with his remixes of past pop hits. Bosphorus Night 2 includes a remixed version of Tarkan's track "Gülümse Kaderine", from his 2003 Dudu EP.

Ateşdağlı DJs at one of Istanbul's A-list clubs, Reina. Located at the foot of the European side of the Bosphorus Bridge, Reina is a vast entertainment emporium that includes several bars, restaurants and dance floors that can accommodate more than 2500 people, and counts Turkish celebs, models and millionaires amongst its clubbers.

Wembley Set to Dazzle

Tarkan set to shake Wembley ArenaRumours surrounding Tarkan's scheduled live performance at London's Wembley Arena, on Sunday 13 April 2008, indicate that it will be a huge display of moving platforms, lights and special effects costing over 300 thousand euros.

Signed by London based organisers Absolute Events to appear at Wembley Arena, it seems that fans going to the London show can expect a once-in-a-lifetime extravaganza with the latest technology.

The show will be the star's first international outing since the release of Metamorfoz and will showcase songs from the latest album.

Tarkan's last concert in the city was in March 1999 at Alexandra Palace, while before that the pop icon had performed at the London Hippodrome in December 1997.
