Tarkan in the Making

Tarkan on MTVMTV Türkiye has released news that their cameras joined Tarkan to capture behind the scenes footage of the filming to the second music video "Pare Pare".

Tarkan also takes the mic to speak to MTV viewers in the TV news report to announce that first screenings of his latest music video are only to be found on the US music channels Turkish subsidiary station.

Previously MTV Türkiye had run TV promos about a live appearance by the Turkish superstar at their studios, but it is no longer certain whether the artist has given this project the green light.

Third Music Video

Meanwhile, Turkish paper Sabah reports that Tarkan's third music video will be to Metamorfoz's third track "Arada Bir".

This choice is another surprise with fans who participated in the music poll previously set up at to vote for the filming of their favourite tracks.

The Sabah news story claims that Tarkan will once again be teaming up with old friend Metin Arolat to film the new video.

Arolat previously directed firm fan favourites such as the video to "Kuzu Kuzu".

And finally, in a Sabah published interview with one of Turkey's foremost musicians, Fahir Atakoğlu, there is news that Tarkan will be taking part in a collaboration with other artists - including Sertab Erener and Sezen Aksu - for an album set to be released in the summer to mark the musician's 25th year in music.

Pop diva Erener had received mainstream success at home as a result of her 1994 song Lâ'l, a composition from Atakoğlu, and which in 1999 was selected to be included in the 500 song compilation Soundtrack for a Century, published by Sony Music.
