Reported Death at Tarkan Company HITT

By Adelind Osmanlı reporting from Munich, Germany

All major Turkish newspapers are reporting today that an employee of music production company HITT - co-owned by recording artist Tarkan - has been found shot dead on their premises in the Beşiktaş region of Istanbul in Turkey.

The body of tea lady Ayşegül Gürpınar was found in the HITT Production buildings by her brother, whom had been searching for her yesterday evening.

It's reported that alerted to her absence by her husband, her brother had gone to HITT to look for his sister, where he found her shot in the chest and lying in her own pool of blood. Attempts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful.

The gun, suspected to be the weapon that ended her life, was found next to Gürpınar's body and is said to belong to her husband. Paper Hürriyet writes that a suicide note was found next to the body that spoke about being in debt.

Continuing their on going investigations, police are not ruling out murder or suicide, however, with suspicion falling on the husband as it is claimed the couple had just recently separated and were not on good terms.

This is not the first time this year that Tarkan's name has been mixed up in a police investigation, with papers reporting his cousin's arrest in a national police crackdown on hackers involved in illegal activities, including appropriating over three million in Turkish lira.
