Tarkan Speaks at 16th Kral VMAs

By Adelind Osmanlı reporting from Munich, Germany

Tarkan climbs the Kral music charts without having released an albumWith the news that Tarkan's "Sevdanın Son Vuruşu" ("Love's Last Strike") had charted on radio top ten play lists last week, the song is gradually climbing the Kral music charts on its radio and TV stations this week.

As the track climbs up five spaces to number four in its radio chart, it has entered in seventh place at the TV station's top video singles for the week, even though the artist hasn't filmed an official video. Kral is rotating the VMA performance and a specially prepared video by the station.

It's a first-ever feat for a Turkish artist to chart without having released an album or single or filmed a video single to an official digital release.

Meanwhile, Kral reported on its 16th VMA evening with an interview with Tarkan backstage before his opening performance, where the Turkish megastar said he was always nervous before getting on stage.
