Tarkan Special Guest of Prince?

Following the news that Turkish pop icon Tarkan will be in Monaco next month to appear on stage for the 40th anniversary of a summer music festival in Monte Carlo, Turkish entertainment news wires are reporting that the singer is to be the special guest of the reigning monarch of the Principality of Monaco, and head of the Princely House of Grimaldi, Albert II.

It's rumoured that Prince Albert's wife, Princess Charlene will be hosting a special party at the Prince's Palace of Monaco with Tarkan and a few other artists from the festival expected to attend.

According to the Turkish press, Tarkan was invited to close the summer long series of international star studded shows by special request of Prince Albert, who is a self-confessed admirer of the popular entertainer.

The press wires also claim the prince - one of the wealthiest royals in the world - is to welcome Tarkan in style, by booking him in at Monaco's five star Hotel Hermitage's Diamond Presidential Suite for the duration of his stay.

It's reportedly a gesture specially reserved for Tarkan's appearance at the glamorous occasion, which includes various American and British pop artists and acts.

Overlooking the Mediterranean, the Hotel Hermitage is said to epitomise a certain carefree elegance at the highest level. Built in the early 1900s, the historic luxury hotel offers an intimate and relaxed ambiance, a haven of peace in the heart of Monte Carlo.
