As the first Turkish artist ever to have been personally invited by the organisers to attend, Tarkan will appear alongside artists such as Lana Del Rey - who will open the summer festival on Friday 4 July - Robin Thicke, Paolo Nutini, Bryan Adams, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary, for the 2014 edition of the summer fest Monte Carlo SBM is offering a series of concerts with the world's greatest stars. Known as the Mecca of live music, the diversity of the line-up is what makes this French Riviera festival so rich and unique, in keeping with its glamorous annual tradition.

Once night falls, Monte Carlo sparkles even brighter with fabulous summer concerts at the exclusive Monte-Carlo Sporting Club. Under the stars all summer long, this club pulsates with the sounds of international recording artists and first-rate shows.

Past stars have included George Benson with Natalie Cole, Andrea Bocelli, The Beach Boys, Diana Krall, Lionel Richie and Julio Iglesias, among many others.

Tarkan himself last performed in Monaco in 1999, when sales from his album, simply titled as Tarkan, brought him an award for best selling artist at the 11th annual World Music Awards.
