is it the fear of dying?
or the method of forgetting
the wasteland of bodies
no longer breathing but still living
somehow clawing at the light
lit by society that says
get fucking, and forget
all those constant pressures
you're serving to serve
the almighty with your mouth
this isn’t about exhaustion
but about exploitation of expectation --
I mean who the fuck is so frightened
of loneliness that they pay out
for second best? -- what sort
of cannibalism eats itself
until there's nothing left? a mash-up
of pop cultural sensibility
where you gotta get on your knees
or something poking inbetween
but why the fixation
over what someone's getting?
can we not live with the unfiltered
version of ourselves that we need the filter
of a few false compliments?
the red clay with alligator footprints
feasting on your difference
called loneliness
but it's everyone's mess
if you're honest
