Double Exposure

In this tale of modern times, two old school friends - Heather, an Instagram influencer and Veronica, a pseudonymous author - reunite over coffee to slaughter the past and savour the future. Newly reconciled, however, can their two very different worlds fuse into the one they shared growing up in the eighties?

This story within a story highlights the concerns of growing older, growing nostalgic and growing apart - and that the current snapshot of life always seems a double exposure of past and present.

The superimposition of the past on the present feels inescapable and, as the two friends are about to find out, its troublesome composition can leave the largest impact of all.
