Dove Moon

we lay
on the flats
of grassy mats,
moonbleached,

gold-digging on the lawn,

earth smoked scent
opening warm,
the ground swallows us,
glow worms fluttering

in pale lanterns,

a robin with
its burning breast
searching for fruit
encased in silvershine

follows us home

by the light
of a dove moon,
a face of sweetness
waxing desire,

our old neighbour watches

in cool height above
a fiery higher of our blushes,
bringing a fresh fragrance
of heaven to the senses -

hitting through our walls,

warming foam
floats over the moon,
spark by electrifying
spark flickers our room.
