All Roads Lead
a road short or long,
too distant too tell
the mark that ends;
some roads lined
with many boundaries,
some giving way to
greater bends,
yet each road wends
just the same.
here is life,
paths forking an
invisible compass
to nature's darker bay;
places seen or been,
a winter's tale
or summer's break
partitions the way,
a sense of one day
for its passing.
here is life,
as love for it grows
so courage lessens,
but the journey knows;
all roads lead
to where we must go,
and it's foolsh to fear
our space in time
is the only home
we'll ever know.
