Seven Thousand at the Harbiye

By Adelind Osmanlı reporting from Munich, Germany

Screencap of reportAs part of the 4th annual Harbiye open air concerts, under the sponsorship of Avea and organised by HITT, Tarkan took to the stage for a second solo date at the venue yesterday.

Initially slated for 17 August at the start of the series, but appearing a day later, Tarkan dressed in white gave an unforgettable performance at the jam packed arena, with a repertoire of hits and opening with track "Vay Anam Vay".

News agencies report that singing to a crowd of nearly seven thousand, including celebrities from the Turkish music industry, due to crowding some of members of the audience had to watch the show standing up (see top left pic).

However, no one complained and reportedly, when a fan asked for an item of clothing off the star, when he couldn't take it off, he gave up his diamond earring instead.

Tarkan had mesmerised fans at the Harbiye on 4 August in the opening concert to Avea's summer open air series, and as a special guest on 6 August at Fahir Atakoğlu's Harbiye concert, along with other Turkish music greats for an evening of musical magic.
