Tarkan Keeps on Composing

By Adelind Osmanlı reporting from Munich, Germany

Turkish paper Sabah has published an article today that claims Tarkan composed two songs while in police confinement at the start of this month.

The recording artist didn't fail to take the opportunity to pen two songs at the penitentiary following a drug sting, with one about his feelings during his four day detention and another about a story told to him by a female officer, the article writes.

The paper says that Tarkan resumed recording after resting a few days on his release.

Singer Support

Today's article in Sabah also prints that Tarkan had been supported throughout his stay by singer-songwriter Sezen Aksu. It's believed her songs will also feature in the new album Tarkan has been working on for two years.

Just after the singer's release, Sabah had printed an article claiming Aksu had sent Tarkan her own lawyer after she had heard of his detention, but that Tarkan had refused the offer as he had his own legal team at hand.

Meanwhile today's article claims that the artist is gearing up to release a new Aksu featured record in May, while a report yesterday had published end of April as the date for a new release, suggesting that hopes are still high for a spring album from the singer this year.
