A Taste of Turkish on MSN UK
Turkish model Ebru Şallı has featured on the homepage of MSN UK for their piece on the "World's Sexiest Cities", which has chosen European Capital of Culture Istanbul as one of its hotspots - describing it as being "all about the thrilling coming together of east and west".
Edited by MSN Travel contributor, Lisa Gerard-Sharp, both Istanbul and Turkish model Şallı wearing a creation by designer Cengiz Abazoğlu (who counts Britney Spears and Paris Hilton amongst his clients) featured on the top page of MSN UK's "World's Sexiest Cities", too (see left pic).
"What makes a city sexy? It's a quality that transcends the mere physical beauty of its inhabitants. We are talking about those special places that make you feel incredibly alive, where you shrug off the drab clothes of everyday experience almost as soon as you touch down," the article claims.
In amongst a selected list of thirteen cities including Paris, Barcelona and Venice, on its page Istanbul is described as a city that "hits all your senses at once. The Grand Bazaar sums it up: an assault of traders' entreaties, gaudy trinkets, richly patterned rugs, honey drenched baklava and aromatic spices".
