Trump is also facing condemnation from the sports world after he said players who protest during the US anthem should be fired. Triple NBA champion LeBron James labelled the President a "bum".
2. A white male has become an extraordinarily evil paedophile - one of the worst in recent history. In a decade of abuse, he has been convicted of 71 offences against 23 Malaysian and Cambodian children.
3. A Polish woman who moved to the UK 27 years ago, has recently started to feel some people are hostile towards her because of her accent, while police are investigating a hate crime in which a pig's head was left at a Muslim community centre and racist graffiti sprayed on its walls.
4. A planned demonstration by the white facist English Defence League (EDL) was called off at the last minute - after only two protesters turned up.
5. Puerto Rico is facing a growing crisis in the wake of Hurricane Maria, which has knocked out water, electricity, and telephone services. Meanwhile, Indonesia has issued its highest level alert for Mount Agung on Bali, warning of an imminent eruption on the popular tourist island. The volcano last erupted in 1963, killing more than 1,000 people.
6. Tuesday's devastating earthquake in Mexico struck shortly after people had taken part in an earthquake drill for the 32nd anniversary of the 1985 disaster, where over 10,000 people died.
