- Damaging US-Turkey relations, the US prosecution of gold trader Reza Zarrab has revealed testimony that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan personally approved his sanction-breaking deals with Iran. Meanwhile, Turkish prosecutors have ordered the seizure of Zarrab's assets.
- A US army base worker has been jailed for life for rape and murder in Okinawa, in a case that sparked anti-US protests in Japan. The US maintains thousands of troops on Okinawa on several bases, and locals have long objected to their presence.
- Donald Trump has retweeted three inflammatory videos from British far-right group Britain First that targets Muslims, while Downing Street has said it was wrong for the US President to retweet the videos.
- Living in a filter bubble, Trump didn't back down after the UK's prime minister criticised him for his retweets, telling her to focus on radical Islam instead, while UK MPs told Trump to delete his account, or that Twitter should.
- Trump's recent tweets of unverified videos shows he follows white supremacist groups closely, and while Twitter has pledged to crack down on hate speech, it is refusing to act over the US President amplifying the tweets of a woman who has been fined for hate speech.
- Dame Angela Lansbury says she is "troubled" and "devastated" that comments she made about sexual harassment were taken "out of context". The 92 year-old actress was criticised for reportedly saying "making themselves attractive" had "backfired" for women and they must "sometimes take blame".
- Russell Simmons, the music mogul who co-founded Def Jam Records, has stepped down from his companies after being accused of sexual misconduct.
- CCTV footage has been released of a white man London police want to speak to about 25 sexual assaults of women and children. The victims, aged between eight and 35, were attacked in daylight, usually during morning and evening rush hours.
- A white woman who poisoned her grandmother and stole money from her account while she was in hospital has been jailed for two and a half years.
- A white man is refusing to answer questions at the new inquest into the death of his 13-month-old daughter, over allegations he abused her.
