  7. Female students in India's capital Delhi are protesting against harassment during the popular Hindu festival of Holi. Several women are scared walking around Holi because they are hit by water balloons filled with semen.
  8. Iran has detained 35 women for trying to attend a football match.
  9. Just 34% of women in Turkey work, by far the lowest of the 35 industrialised countries of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) where the average is 63%.
  10. Oscar-nominated films with a woman in the starring role are more profitable than their male-led counterparts.
