- Thirteen footballers trapped in cave have been rescued after 17-day ordeal in Thailand. Divers led 12 boys and their football coach to safety from flooded caves in a high risk rescue attempt.
- Hollywood star George Clooney was taken to hospital after suffering minor injuries in a collision involving his motorbike and a car.
- President Donald Trump has left for a Nato summit in Brussels with a stark warning from European Council President Donald Tusk. Accusing Trump of criticising Europe "almost daily", Mr Tusk warned America to appreciate her allies - "after all you don't have that many".
- PayPal wrote to a woman who had died of cancer saying her death had breached its rules and that it might take legal action as a consequence.
- An English mother and grandmother of an emaciated 18 year-old man who was allowed to "rot to death" have been convicted of his manslaughter.
- Women in Iran have posted videos of themselves dancing after the arrest of a 19 year old woman, Maedeh Hojabri, who had a large Instagram following for her dancing videos.
- Staff at the clothing brand Feminist Apparel found out their CEO had admitted to sexual misconduct - and were fired within days of confronting him about it.
- Reddit CEO Steve Huffman has said banning hate speech was "not really done" and "an impossible precedent to uphold". But the 17-year-old who published images of the chat had his account suspended for a week.
- The founder of a cat rescue shelter has said black cats are being shunned by potential owners because they do not "show well" in selfies.
