1. Madonna turns 60 on Thursday. She has performed on 10 concert tours and sold more than 300 million records, earning her a spot in the Guinness World Records as the best-selling female recording artist of all time.
2. Adele's best friend says the singer was the first one to spot her postpartum psychosis. The serious mental illness affects one in one thousand mums and can lead to hallucinations after giving birth.
3. Tyler "Ninja" Blevins has revealed that he doesn't "play with female gamers" out of respect for his wife. The US gamer has suggested that it could lead to rumours regarding him and the women he's playing with.
4. Jack Whitehall has received backlash online after news broke that he'd been cast as Disney's first major gay character in Jungle Cruise. The news has led some people to ask why a gay actor wasn't cast for the role, while actress Ruby Rose, who describes herself as "gender fluid", has deleted her Twitter profile amid a backlash over her casting as Batwoman in a TV series, instead of a lesbian to play the first openly lesbian superhero lead.
5. Twitter is blocking the right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones from posting to its platform for a week. The social network has not confirmed what prompted the action, but the New York Times reported Mr Jones had tweeted a link to a video in which he called on his followers to ready their "battle rifles".
6. WWE wrestler Jim Neidhart has died at the age of 63, while Aretha Franklin is resting at home, surrounded by family, according to the singer's nephew, who says the 76-year-old is "sick", but that the family is hopeful she will "pull through".
7. Grief in Italy for the 39 victims of a collapsed motorway bridge in Genoa has been mixed with anger that such a vital structure could have simply given way.
8. An Australian senator has been widely condemned for a speech that invoked the term "final solution" in a call for immigration restrictions based on race. "Final solution" was a term infamously used by the Nazis during the Holocaust. He refuses to apologise.
9. Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn has refused to apologise for being present when a wreath was laid in memory of some of those accused of the 1972 Munich terror attack. Israel's PM Benjamin Netanyahu says he deserved "unequivocal condemnation" over the 2014 event in Tunis, but Mr Corbyn said he had attended to take part in a ceremony honouring innocent victims of a 1985 Israeli air strike.
10. The man being held on suspicion of terrorism after the Westminster car crash has been named as Salih Khater by government sources. The 29-year-old British citizen, originally from Sudan, is being questioned in south London.
