1. Fifty people died and dozens more were injured in the attacks on two mosques in Christchurch on 15 March - where a right-wing extremist killed men, women and children as young as three years old as they prayed.
2. Jay-Z's self-appointed nickname is Hova (short for J-Hova, a play on the Hebrew for God, Jehovah) showing he holds himself in high esteem.
3. Barbra Streisand is facing criticism for expressing sympathy towards late singer Michael Jackson, who is accused of sexually abusing children. She said it was in his DNA and that the abuse hadn't "killed" the accusers, who had been "thrilled" to be at Jackson's notorious Neverland ranch.
4. A woman who started a record-breaking anti-Brexit petition, which quickly attracted over four million signatures, has received death threats from right-wing extremists who want the UK to break from the European Union.
5. Hundreds of thousands marched through central London on 23 March calling for another EU referendum to keep the UK in the EU. Crowds were told the initial count showed more than a million people had turned up - putting it on a par with the biggest march of the century, the Stop the War march in 2003.
6. The so-called Islamic State is said to have been defeated in Syria. IS grew out of al-Qaeda in Iraq in the aftermath of the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003.
7. Cyclone Idai has ravaged parts of Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe in what the UN says could be the worst weather-related disaster ever to hit the southern hemisphere.
8. Scientists say humanity has 12 years to stop the planet warming above 1.5C.
9. A Russian man has been arrested in Bali on suspicion of trying to smuggle a young orangutan, which is a protected species, out of Indonesia.
10. Developers in England are covering hedges and trees with netting to stop birds from building spring nests so the greenery can eventually be removed. It's an offence to destroy an active nest, but there are no laws to prevent birds nesting in the first place.
