Tarkan Designer Suit Auctioned For Charity
UPDATE (17 May): The item was sold for 5,000 YTL ($3,495.28).
Turkish TV channel ATV reported in its mid-day news bulletin today that a designer suit worn by Tarkan is being auctioned for charity a second time.
Worn by Tarkan in 2001 at a fashion show in Paris, and at subsequent concerts later that year, the Dice Kayek™ design red shirt and black trousers are being auctioned online for charity.
First auctioned in 2003 at a dinner for a heart charity, this time the owners are auctioning off the Kayek creations at a Turkish online auction site for a children's charity.
Meanwhile yesterday evening, magazine show Renkli Hayatlar (Colourful Lives) on Turkish TV channel Star TV aired footage showing Tarkan commenting on his latest album. Confident that his new video for his second single "Start the Fire", to be filmed in Paris, would be successful, he also revealed that his English language debut album would be released in France this summer.
