Tarkan on European TV
After Tarkan's sell-out concert in Sofia, Bulgaria on June 2, Tarkan arrived for a one day stop in Russia, where he has the largest fan base outside of Turkey. He will return to Russia on June 21 for the next concert on his international tour list.
While in Bulgaria, Tarkan appeared on popular Bulgarian TV programme "Slav's Show" presented by showman Slavi Trifonov before the concert. The programme is a daily sixty-minute evening talk show broadcast on bTV, the first private nationwide TV channel in Bulgaria. Appearing very relaxed and joking with Trifonov, who asked him if he had any surprises in store for his fans, Tarkan replied that he was the surprise.
He travelled to the Russian capital yesterday to appear on TV again, this time Russian TV channel 1, for the pop music talent contest "Fabrika Zvyozd" (Star Factory). This is a Russian Star Academy television show based in Moscow, which is in the international Star Academy format.
Tarkan is planning to give a large concert in Moscow to a 20,000 thousand capacity audience in June at an olympic stadium. Sources say that tickets have already been depeleted, and there are large billboards across the famous capital promoting his upcoming concert later this month.
After Moscow, Tarkan will travel to Vienna on the 23 June, Baku on the 30 June and will appear in Romania on 12 July.
There are also ongoing talks for new concert venues in the Czech Republic, France and the UK. No dates are as yet available.
