Tarkan in Bulgaria

Famous pop star Tarkan arrives in Bulgaria for a concert, organized with the support of the new mobile operator Vivatel, Sofia Music Enterprises and Universal. The Marketing Communications Manager of vivatel Maria Toycheva on behalf of the operator supported the first concert of the Turkish performer in the country.Turkish pop star and his team arrived in Bulgaria on June 1, a day before his first ever live performance in Bulgaria, at Sofia's Winter Palace of Sports.

The company organising the event, Sofia Music Enterprises said that Tarkan and a crew of 50 musicians, dancers, technicians and assistants stayed in Sofia's Princess Hotel.

Before Tarkan arrived in Bulgaria he had been interviewed by Georgi P. Dimitrov for Standard news, where Tarkan commented that he loved "the open hearted people, the beautiful Bulgarian women and the nice wines."

The mobile operator set up a raffle with 40 tickets to be won the day before the concert.

Another ten lucky Bulgarian Tarkan fans, selected through different media competitions, got the chance to meet him in person. They met him at the hotel, with each fan receiving a gift from Tarkan.

Bulgarian band Karizma and pop-folk singer Toni Storaro performed as warm-up acts before the sell-out Tarkan concert began forty minutes later than the planned ten p.m local start time.

Singing to a capacity crowd of eight thousand fans, he promised he would come again.
