Tarkan Interview in Russia 2006

Reporting for Turkish newspaper Takvim, İlke Gürman caught up with Tarkan in Moscow, where the pop star was appearing on stage.

Female reporter Gürman has been a long standing, self-confessed fan of Tarkan, and was lucky enough to have an impromptu interview with him, which led to possibly one of the most intimate and revealing discussions ever between a Turkish journalist and the pop star. The discussion continued all day and even after the concert.

The interview was aired on Turkish TV channel ATV, while the transcripts of the conversations were published in Turkish newspaper Takvim as a three part serial.

Topics ranged from Tarkan's childhood and the rocky relationship with his father, to his feelings for long time girlfriend Bilge Öztürk.
