Tarkan's Concert Calendar Latest Dates

Tarkan Deluxe has been notified by official sources with confirmations to add further show dates to Tarkan's 2008 concert calendar. These include extra August venues in between his Turkish Metamorfoz Doritos Tour to take to the stage at the Cemil Topuzlu Harbiye Open Air Theatre in Istanbul, and two dates for performances in Russia.

With recently added Turkish and European venues for his Metamorfoz Tour, his concert schedule for 2008 is promising to be one of the busiest the artist has had in recent years.

Extra Dates: Moscow, St. Petersburg and Istanbul

As we had brought to the attention of our readers last month, the English daily, Today's Zaman, had mentioned plans for a Turkish tour, "several gigs in Germany", and an appearance at Hermitage Square in St. Petersburg on May 27 as part of Turkish Culture Year events in Russia. The paper featured the Russian event in its Today's Tourism supplement (March 19-22, 2008), too.

Now close sources also confirm that one of the shows in Russia is the previously reported St. Petersburg leg of a 2008 Turkish cultural festival in May, while another show is set for Moscow in June.

Tarkan fans in Istanbul will be glad to discover as well that after a year's absence, the Turkish pop artist has pencilled in four dates to appear at the Harbiye again.

The artist had broken all known attendance records by giving five sell-out shows at the open air theatre in 2006.
