Allaturca á la Tarkan

As Tarkan Deluxe had previously published three months ago, Tarkan has featured in a new album to mark one of Turkey's foremost musicians, Fahir Atakoğlu's 25th year in music.

The tribute album - set to be released very soon - also includes artists Sertab Erener and Sezen Aksu, and presents Tarkan singing the 1990's Aksu-Atakoğlu classic hit "Alaturka".

Atakoğlu will also be giving a concert during the run of open air concerts organised by Tarkan's music company HITT at the Harbiye in Istanbul on 6 August, featuring Erener and Tarkan as guests of Atakoğlu for an evening of unforgettable music.

Pop diva Erener had received mainstream success at home as a result of her 1994 song Lâ'l, a composition from Atakoğlu. In 1999, it was selected to be included in the 500 song compilation Soundtrack for a Century, published by Sony Music, and which is voiced by Aksu this time around for the milestone album.
