Bolu Prepares for Tarkan
Major preparations are continuing for Tarkan's planned appearance Bolu's 2nd White Meat Festival this Saturday.
News reports circulating claim that the local council, expecting a record turn-out for the event, has begun to specially pave the surrounding areas in the two-day run-up to the show.
The Turkish pop artist is scheduled to take to the stage on the second day of the festival, 26 July, at the festival's main arena to give a free concert to the public.
Surrounded by forests, Bolu is an ancient place on the old historic highway from Istanbul to Ankara, and has a past spanning thousands of years. It was part of one of the Hittite kingdoms, and the birthplace of Roman Emperor Hadrian's Greek lover Antinous.
