Tarkan's New Hairstyle for NYC Break

Recent pictures published by LIFE, which represents one of the most comprehensive collections of professional celebrity photography on the Web, of Turkish popstar Tarkan sees the recording artist sporting a new hairstyle.

As the Turkish popstar continues to go out and about in New York City with his Armenian friend and US publicist Avo Yermagyan, the city paparazzi have been snapping the star with his new look (pictured top left/LIFE).

Tarkan was caught by the camera attending Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Bryant Park on 13 September and at the 'Free The Noise' Party during its Spring 2010 show two days later.

Also on 15 November, Tarkan showed up at the Dsquared2 headquarters to celebrate their new eye-wear collection, with Mary J. Blige, Rachel Zoe, Hilary Duff and R&B artist Ciara (pictured with Tarkan below) attending.

Helmed by brothers Dean and Dan Caten (pictured above with Tarkan), the Dsquared2 label is a favourite among musicians like Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, and Madonna, who asked the duo to create more than 150 pieces for her 2002 Drowned World Tour.

The brothers opened their flagship store in Milan in 2007, complete with an exclusive Champagne bar, and subsequently launched locations in Capri, Kiev, Istanbul, and Hong Kong.

Meanwhile elsewhere, in the Turkish press Tarkan's new hairstyle has commentators already wondering what fans will make of what they describe as a "Boy George style" haircut.
