World Class Tarkan

Media portal Haberturk has run an interview with musician Behzat Gerçeker, the co-founder of ENBE Orchestra, with which Tarkan had been linked to in a February report to feature in an album set for release this year (see left pic).

However, although Gerçeker praises Tarkan in the interview, when asked if he has worked with the artist, the musician is quoted as responding, "No, but I think Tarkan is our most important, world renowned artist."

In another question about whether Turkey could produce world class acts, Gerçeker is cited as saying that it was easily possible.

"We have Tarkan. And a lot of talented young people. It's just very hard to enter a different music market. Tarkan plays everywhere," he said.
