Summer Gigs for Tarkan

By Adelind Osmanlı reporting from Munich, Germany

As paper Hürriyet and media portal Haberturk publish the previous news that Tarkan is scheduled to perform at Çeşme's newly re-opened legendary 9,5 Kale Disco this summer - alongside other stars like Shakira and the Black Eyed Peas - Haberturk columnist Esin Övet has written that Tarkan will be singing at open air concerts at the Harbiye in Istanbul, annually organised by Tarkan's music company HITT.

Previously, Özlem Avcı writing for Sabah had revealed that Tarkan would be performing at the Harbiye this summer.

Having appeared at the 2nd and 4th summer gigs - organised by HITT - Tarkan had once again dazzled fans for the season's 5th year in 2009.

Tarkan is Not Going to Hide This Time

Haberturk's Övet writes, "HITT's organisation marathon will kick-start with Tarkan. I'm told Tarkan is going to close this year, too. And I've got the response I've been waiting for. Tarkan isn't going to hide any more.

"After the album is out he is going to do a lot of interviews and concerts. Thank goodness for that, it's what I've writing about for ages. I said the minute Tarkan releases a new album he mustn't hide away.

"Because he has been missed a lot, and he's a true star."
