The Turkish press have covered Tarkan's finale show of his Live in Europe Tour with fizy, noting that nearly 60 thousand people attended the month-long run of shows across Germany.

Tarkan's trek through his country of birth was given news coverage by German public broadcasters, too. The ARD, the world's second largest public broadcaster, reported on Tarkan's concluding show in its Hamburg Journal.

The report, run by Hamburg public radio and television broadcaster NDR, a member of the ARD consortium, shows snippets of interviews with the crowds of fans attending the event.

Back in the domestic press, the 29 April show in Hamburg brought to a close by all accounts a successful musical smash for Turkish pop's megastar, drawing tens of thousands in ticket sales and earning 6m TL ($1.5m) from sponsorship fees.

Headlines such as "Tarkan's Tour Ends", "Tarkan's Tour Passes Profitably" and "Tarkan Has the Last Say" have been hitting the celeb news wires, cementing Tarkan as unique among his musical peers.

Unparalleled in his public pulling prowess, the singer has proclaimed his pop power across the musical board, the Turkish press reports suggest.

Some of the concert reports remind that the soon-to-be father still has what it takes to mark him above the rest, while a columnist for the Milliyet's celeb supplement Cadde makes some observations for men who become first-time fathers in their forties.

Columnist Özay Şendir's 2 May article claims that men who come to fatherhood late in life all share the same qualities. These "changes" wrought by the arrival of a newborn baby will affect men like Tarkan, Şendir suggests. The changes include the man being more concerned for the baby's health, who starts to read food labels, and puts the baby's wellbeing above their own.

Although these are natural qualities Tarkan has projected throughout his career, Şendir adds that men who become fathers at a later age start to wonder if they will live to see their child grow up, graduate and bear them grandchildren.

"As Famous as Tarkan"

In other news, a Kurdish singer talks about his musical career and the slippery road of stardom.

The 65-year-old folk singer reminisces when his folk albums sold millions in the 80s, and he was "as famous as Tarkan".

Now he scratches out a living as a wedding singer, but his albums were once highly sought after, emphasising his fame as comparative to what "megastar Tarkan's albums are like now".
