Tarkan's fourth video release off 10, "Kedi Gibi" was released on Turkish streaming site fizy yesterday.

The megastar had shared clips of the eagerly awaited video on his social media accounts a day before its launch, while his current music label exec Samsun Demir had tweeted the release date on fizy as 11 October.

The video sees a bright, tongue-in-cheek Tarkan dancing on a rooftop behind the stunning backdrop of Istanbul's Galata neighbourhood.

The green-eyed heartthrob jumps across terracotta rooftops like a cat to reach some girls and have a selfie taken with them, as onlookers point out in surprise.

The video confirms rumours of Tarkan's rooftop rondo, which were circulated as far back as July this year, claiming Tarkan would be hopping around like a cat on a hot roof. Tarkan's team had denied the rumours.

Music sites say the video will air on TV and exclusively on fizy for two weeks.

Recent accounts in the press about the video say it took two days to film, utilising a cast of twenty people. Filming took place around Galata and Karaköy districts - known for their blend of ancient heritage and funky modernity.

Written and composed by Tarkan, with musical arrangements by the artist's long-term producer Ozan Çolakoğlu, the track is considered a fan favourite.

The video has received top marks from celeb sites and Tarkan is said to have lost weight for the video, which cost 200,000 TL ($35,000) to produce.

Directed by İrfan Yıldırım and produced by 2012 Productions, "Kedi Gibi" is a far cry from the cool, dark tones of "Çok Ağladım" - also directed by Yildirim.

Streaming site fizy had dropped Tarkan's third video single "Çok Ağladım" on 20 April in a two week exclusive for subscribers.

The third video came after the iconic pop star smashed a path through the charts last summer to a frenzied "Yolla", which he followed with the romantic "Beni Çok Sev".

The latest claims in the press say that there are "more surprises" in store for fans, and that there are plans for a fifth and final video to be filmed off his 2017 release.
