Tarkanfest at Star TV

Turkish channel Star TV airs Miss Turkey 2006 this evening at eight local time, hosted by Eyşan Özhim and popular actor/singer Emre Altuğ.

While the jury selects the four girls who will win the opportunity to represent their country in beauty pageants Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss Europe and Miss International respectively, Tarkan and new female singer Hadise from Belgium will separately entertain with a series of songs.

Meanwhile, on the front page of today's edition of Hürriyet, the newspaper reports that there will be more of Tarkan for fans to see on Star TV.

The paper details a three-part serial, with Tarkan singing live and unplugged, ranging from pop songs to Turkish classical music.

In addition to Tarkan's screened performances, Hürriyet reports that the show will air excerpts from interviews with the star in various places around Istanbul (Star's Star Tarkan: see left pic).
