Those attending the World Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2006 held in Monte Carlo, Monaco, were treated to a dance performance accompanied by song from Turkish singer, Tarkan.
A jury of seven, consisting of previous winners from the Czech Republic, US, Japan, India, Hungary, Singapore and Turkey selected this year's winners from among candidates from 32 countries.
At the Ernst & Young award ceremony, the Imperial Industry from Southern Africa was named as the 2006 Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur. Imperial Holdings CEO Bill Lynch accepted the award.
The 32 companies competing in the finals were presented with plaques.
Ernst & Young is the auditor for a large number of major Fortune 1000 corporations.
