Tarkan Shakes Hips at Hip Hop

By Adelind Osmanlı reporting from Munich, Germany

It seems that Tarkan is continuing his moves away from hip-shaking pop to hip-shaking hip hop.

The music producer that worked on seven tracks for Tarkan's debut 2006 English album, Pete "Boxsta" Martin, has revealed on his personal blog that he is currently working on ten tracks for what he calls "Tarkan's U.S Remix Album". The Turkish pop artist had previously stated in a Dutch radio interview that Come Closer would be re-released with three new tracks for the American market.

Producer Martin went on to state on his blog that the "project features artists such as Snoop Dogg, Wyclef, Kid Rock, Miri Ben Ari (Hip Hop Violinist) and Malverde (Latin Rap Sensation)".

Tarkan has been photographed working with Ari in Los Angeles, while Kid Rock was in attendance with Tarkan at late music mogul Ahmet Ertegün's funeral in Istanbul last year.
