Tarkan Signs Up For Festival

Alongside the report of a scheduled appearance at a Turkish festival in Russia, news has come in from the Cihan News Agency that Tarkan will be giving a concert at the 15th Barış Suyu Turkish Culture and Tourism Festival in Manavgat, Antalya.

To be held between the dates 19-21 June 2008, it's planned for Tarkan to make an appearance on the final day of the festival. The Mayor of Manavgat, Zeynel Şenol, is reported to have confirmed this was Tarkan's first signing via his music productions company HITT to a festival, since the release of his album Metamorfoz.

Between the Taurus Mountains to the north, and the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean coast, Manavgat is a town and district of the Antalya Province of Turkey. Antalya is known for its festivals, with over twenty given annually.

Tarkan concerts in Antalya are common. Even with a tour hiatus in 2007, the artist still gave concerts in certain Antalya hotels for private receptions.
