Tarkan's Exclusive Two-hour Show

Turkish music station Number 1's news bytes have run a report on Tarkan's exclusive show at the My Towerland site yesterday.

The famous pop star gave a concert on a specially constructed stage for the event situated at the land site of friend and developer Ali Ağaoğlu's My Towerland project, in a summer festivity promoting the scheduled construction of Ağaoğlu's latest residential project in Istanbul.

While various news articles call it the singer's first show on a week-long specially built stage set on a construction site, Number 1 reports that the 24 June show entertained guests for two hours, during which the star sang twenty songs.

Elsewhere in the Turkish media, as paper Sabah writes that six thousand people attended the special show and Hürriyet puts the attendance figure closer to ten thousand - with the singer wowing fans by appearing on stage via an underground elevator to a standing ovation - Kral magazine online reports on Turkish singer Tan Taşçı attending the show to cheer himself up after surviving a car crash.

As an aside, other reports claim that Tarkan has bought Ağaoğlu apartments for his mother, a sibling and himself, and the construction entrepreneur was described as a sponsor of his friend's 2007 album Metamorfoz.

"Entertained Others Then Himself"

Paper Milliyet focused on the Ağaoğlu My Towerland show being "a boost for Tarkan's morale" after "a low turn out" at a recent Izmir car festival, and spoke of Tarkan dancing the night away after the show at exclusive Istanbul club Reina with a woman the reports call as being Tarkan's current girlfriend, Neşe Erberk Modelling Agency representative, Nil Özalp. The papers claim that, on spotting reporters, Tarkan and Özalp left the club separately.

Özalp has denied the love rumours, with the media quoting her as saying they are not in a relationship, but that he is helping her enter the music industry.
