Tarkan's Istanbul2010 Show in Taksim Square

Tarkan's recently overhauled website for his music production company HITT has confirmed that Tarkan will be giving a concert in Istanbul on 16 January this year.

Previously reported that Turkish paper Akşam had listed a Tarkan concert as amongst the celebrations in the countdown to Istanbul becoming a European Capital of Culture for 2010, HITT's site has now added a banner to its homepage section confirming the event - to be held in the centre of Taksim, the entertainment hub of the sprawling metropolis.

The site seems to be trying to be a stop-gap for Tarkan related events until the artist's official site at Tarkan.com is re-opened, with it also providing news of Tarkan's New Year show in Antalya.

However, it looks like plans to fully integrate the English sections of HITT any time soon has been postponed.
