Papers Say Tarkan's Case Still Ongoing

By Adelind Osmanlı reporting from Munich, Germany

Screencap of reportsTurkish news agency Anadolu Ajans has released a news wire - currently picked up by CNN Turk, Sabah, Milliyet and other news portals at time of writing - that the indictment sent to the court accusing Tarkan of drug possession has been decided by the court to be out of their jurisdiction, transferring it to a special serious crimes court (see left pic).

Along with 16 other suspects, Tarkan had been indicted for drug possession the report writes, with prosecutors asking for a jail term of up to two years if Tarkan had been found to be guilty.

With headlines such as "Bad News for Tarkan", it is reported that his case has now been transferred to a special criminal court, where the artist is once again reportedly in danger of being charged with the more serious offence of drug trafficking.
