Tarkan in Turkish Nation's Top Ten
Tarkan has entered major Turkish music station Kral's top ten of the nation beginning 4 June with his "Sevdanın Son Vuruşu" ("Love's Last Strike"), as the Turkish megastar reaches the top of Kral's radio charts in the same week.
The Kral 10 lists the ten most listened to artists in Turkey for that week according to airplay popularity by national and local radio stations overall, and hard copy and digital sale figures.
Tarkan in Nation's Top Ten
The weekly updated list, which includes Kral's own radio top ten, places the top artists in alphabetical order and not order of popularity, unlike the Nielsen ratings where according to its airplay figures, Tarkan holds his position as Turkey's third most listened to artist for a second week in a row.
Without any figures generated by sales - as the song wasn't released on hard copy or digitally - it is an almost impossible feat to enter the overall top ten on simply airplay alone, which Tarkan has managed to do.
Kral 10 Replaces Billboard 20
The Kral 10 is a replacement of the short-lived Turkish Billboard charts, which unified airplay popularity with official sale figures.
Now with its own nationwide weekly top ten list, Kral is run by the same media conglomerate that had bought Billboard to Turkey.
A Closer Look at the Charts
Taking a glance at the individual charts of radio stations, Tarkan has made the number one spot on stations such as Radyo Moda, Radyo Tatlises and Istanbul FM, is charting at second position on stations Super FM and SlowTurk, while coming top third at Pal FM, Best FM and Radyo D.
