Billboard on Tarkan
Tarkan has featured on the Turkish Billboard's weekly run-down of the movers and shakers of the national music lists as making the highest jump in the charts in the first days of September.
The Turkish subsidiary of the respected US music trademark has listed Tarkan as the highest mover in the charts, after the release of his fourth music video "Dilli Düdük". The track jumped from the 139th position to hit number 24 in the space of a week.
He had previously hit the second highest position of the Billboard charts with his track "Pare Pare" in May and "Arada Bir" in June. Before that he had hit number one with "Vay Anam Vay", which had also held on to the number two slot for three months.
Billboard's ratings - which aim to unify play lists in terms of popularity - are based on air play figures from Nielsen Music Control, the world respected research media company that monitors radio and TV stations across Turkey, and yearly sales figures collected by the Turkish Phonographic Industry.
