Tarkan's Instagram Innuendos

Posted by Hatice Soylu from Istanbul, Turkey and Kaya Turan from Rochester, UK

Tarkan has been posting on Instagram as usual this week.

On 18 November, he posted a video showing the singer during one of his customary woodland jaunts. Tarkan wrote "Hello" with a smiley face underneath the share.

Instead of his routine Sunday share, however, Tarkan decided to post this on Monday, the date the Islamic prophet Muhammad's birthday is celebrated - called Mawlid al-Nabi al-Sharif.

And on 22 November, in what has now become a semi-routine #tbt post to a throwback of social nostalgia, Tarkan shared a picture from his childhood days in Germany - where it has been said he suffered a lot of hardship.

For an accompanying caption, the singer wrote of "his lost childhood days" and "growing up too quickly".

The lines are a direct quote from his own penned track "Pare Pare" on his Metamorfoz album.

Tarkan's 2007 double award-winning album went platinum in its first year and diamond in its second year of sales, with four top ten hits.
