Tarkan Album Sells 100,000 in 24 Hours
Turkish music label DMC rep Samsun Demir has been tweeting about the album sale figures for Tarkan's latest album, Adımı Kalbine Yaz, and Tarkan's 1 August Harbiye concert.
While Demir tweets his thanks for all the messages of congratulations and praise over Tarkan's latest album, and notes happily that all the anger due to the album postponements had disappeared, on questions of sale figures he writes that Tarkan's album sold 100,000 in 24 hours.
The tweets reveal that with 45,000 extra orders, the factory is busy printing out more copies, coming close to reaching the 200,000 mark in just a week of sales.

Meanwhile, the tweets also show the difficulty in purchasing seats for Tarkan's Harbiye concerts - with even Demir unable to call for any more seats - and that the music label rep was at the 1 August show along with Turkish diva Ajda Pekkan and Haberturk correspondent Esin Övet.

Of the concert, Demir tweeted about one of Tarkan's songs from the 2010 album, "Acımayacak".
"It got an amazing reaction tonight, it was something I expected, a special thanks to Mithatcan," Demir tweeted to the composer of the track touted to be a Tarkan hit in the coming months.
